Any website owner would want his website to work perfectly every time someone visits it. Right?
In a perfect world, that's the way things would happen.
Unfortunately, however, all browser programs are not created equally. Different browser programs and web-enabled devices each have their own unique ways of handling some website features, and a website which might be rendered perfectly in one program might not work in another.
From a design standpoint, that creates a lot of headaches, so much so that many website design companies don't even bother to make the websites they produce accessible by all browsers and web-enabled devices.
We think that's ludicrous. Denying access to a website based purely upon a visitor's browser or device is tantamount to turning customers away at the door. That's a huge price to pay for a designer's laziness, and yet most websites on the internet today suffer from this problem.
Fortunately, a group called the World Wide Web Consortium (abbreviated to "W3C") has devised a set of coding guidelines called "XHTML Standards" which, if followed, will ensure that a website appears perfectly in every browser program and web-enabled device.
At eBUILD Design, we go the extra mile to make sure that every website we produce is in strict compliance with the W3C Standards so that you can be confident that you're not shutting the door in the faces of any website visitors.
